WAA! does things a bit differently. We have no bar and we have no funding. So to cover our ongoing costs (mainly rent) we have a membership. Not only does this give us independence, it also means success isn't defined by how many people come to a gig or a club night. When the membership numbers are high enough we will be sustainable and not need to survive off grants or ticket sales.
We have gone with $10 a week as this is less than a beer. And, we can all survive a week without one beer.
As a member you are helping to provide a place that prioritises all-ages gigs, and provides a regular space for community groups and clubs that can't afford the other usual locations.
But there are also perks! Free entry to weekly events, and heavily discounted rates for weekend and major events. You'll be part of community direction discussions and have a voice in shaping our direction.

The membership is for your family household.
There are fewer fees to WAA! if you pay the larger amounts. We get charged per transaction.
Cancelling or pausing your membership fees is unfortunately a manual process on our end, so send us a message, and we can do that for you.
We send out regular newsletters and WhatsApp notifications and Facebook posts, but it is your responsibility to engage or not engage - but please engage.
